Amanda Jacket

A luxurious shawl collar is the crowning touch to this simple cardigan. Dressy and functional, the simple knit and purl pattern is thick and warm. Worked as a seamless raglan from the bottom up, it also features deep, ribbed rollback cuffs and a boxy shape. This cardigan would also look great knitted longer and oversized.

I custom spun this yarn from charcoal grey Blue Faced Leicester and cinnamon alpaca. The roving was approximately a 50/50 blend and processed to perfection by Stonehedge Fiber Mill. I spun it softly to maintain the fibers' natural loftiness and knitting was a dream! Other yarns that would give a similar look and work up to gauge are Black Water Abbey Yarn, Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Worsted, Peace Fleece Worsted, Bartlett, Harrisville Orchid and Flax & Wool, Jamieson's Chunky, just to name a few!
