Saxony Sock

The beautiful Saxon Braid embellishes the leg of these aran-style socks. While they may look complicated, the Saxon Braid is a relatively easy cable to knit. The foot of the sock is plain stockinette to keep the shaping simple. This sock looks great at any gauge, and would make a dramatic heavy boot sock for winter. It's knit with 4 double pointed needles so the entire cable motif will be on one needle.
